Most popular ringtone formats
An open question to my fellow ringtone producers around the world. What would you say is the most popular ringtone format except for the obvious MP3 and midi? A close guess would be Nokia‘s AMR ringtone format since they’ve got such a big market share.
AMR ringtones are realtones (truetones, voice tones), which means it’s not a midi based sound, but rather a WAV type sound, so it can be any sound effect or real song. I’d like to find out how to enable vibration and LED’s when producing AMR ringtones. Same for MMF realtones. It’s been bugging me for a while.
